Two more photographs of the victorious Valerie Adams!
Secondly, in an email he sent this morning, my mate, Colin, let me know that "25 kilometers in a day was a doddle, NO side effects at all on Sunday, don't know about days on end yet [a reference to the planned walk from Rotorua to Wellington], but that will be sorted when I walk from Tauranga F[amily] court to Rotorua over Fathers day weekend."
And a short time later, Colin sent me a copy of an email to a local newspaper reporter, part of which read, "We had a ball on Saturday. Gathered lots of signatures in Waihi before leaving a little after 9.30 walking around the shopping block, from the front of the courthouse to the car park outside your work in a little over 4 and 1/2 hours. At least three vehicles turned right around just to ask to sign the petition, and even a couple at their gates signed as well. Seems everyone has been/is going through, or knows a friend who is struggling through the current system to see their children or grandchildren !!
This Saturday we will be walking across the Kaimai's from my home at the very top of Willoughby Rd to Mt Te Aroha and down into the township (secretly just to enjoy the hot pools but hopefully to bring awareness to the Petition and cause (kaupapa) yet again.
On Fathers day weekend I am walking from the Tauranga anti Family court to the Rotorua one in yet another bid before later on leaving on October the first from that Rotorua Anti family court to the Beehive."
